Tooth Coloured Restorations

Gone are the days of the old amalgam, metallic fillings.  Tooth coloured fillings are now the preferred method of filling cavities.  Tooth coloured fillings are made of a strong composite resin or porcelain and looks more like your natural tooth.  These long lasting alternatives to traditional amalgam fillings not only look better, they are also less likely to come loose and cause a return trip to the dentist.  Tooth coloured restorative material can be used to replace your original metal fillings.

The range of tooth coloured restorations include:

  • Bonded composite resin restorations, direct and indirect.
  • Porcelain Crowns
  • Porcelain Inlays

Dental bonding

One of the most common and effective dental treatments available, dental bonding can correct small cracks and chips in teeth, as well as improve alignment and spacing issues between the teeth. Using a durable, tooth coloured resin, Dr Pastorino can blend the bonding material with the colour of your natural teeth.

The material is then applied to the affected teeth and moulded to fit the desired contour. The bonding is then hardened under a special light, and polished to reflect a shiny, natural-looking restoration.

Dental bonding can be a very effective way of fixing spaces between teeth that do not require orthodontic treatment.
